NEPSY-II Overview
The NEPSY-II is a child neuropsychological assessment tool being used with increased frequency in schools for the evaluation of factors that contribute to education and learning difficulties, and in general child neuropsychological practices.  The NEPSY-II is a battery of subtests that assess executive functioning and attention, memory and learning, language, social perception, sensory motor functioning, and visual spatial processing.  An introduction to the NEPSY-II and its role in the current education environment in California will be provided.  Brief clinical and school based applications of the NEPSY-II will also be reviewed. 

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this workshop, the participant will be able to:
1.     
Describe the psychometric properties of the NEPSY-II
2.     
Describe the administration and scoring of the NEPSY-II
3.     
Describe interpretation of the NEPSY-II

CE Credits
Workshop participants must attend the entire session for CE credits. A certificate of completion will be given to each person who completes the workshop. The Department of Psychology, Argosy University, Seattle is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  The Department of Psychology, Argosy University, Seattle maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

We are in immediate need for a temporary psychologist in our interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluation clinic, the Child Development Clinic, at the Center on Human Development and Disability (CHDD) at the University of Washington Medical Center. 
Details:

1         TEMPORARY .25 FTE (about 10 hours/week) (tentative dates: January to June 2010)
2         Appointment at a UW faculty level.
3         Responsible for conducting one evaluation per week as part of the interdisciplinary team, and on occasion, supervise psychology postdoctoral fellows (we have two).
4         Must be eligible to supervise and pass UW Medical Center credentialing process
5         Importantly, this clinic specializes in neuro-developmental disorders (autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, ADHD, etc) so this person must be familiar and comfortable with these conditions and the types of assessment tools used in these types of evaluations (e.g., cognitive, academic, attention, memory,  ADOS).
